Specify dilutions & staining steps

When you've completed your stain set, go to the Control panel and click Stain set functions.  A small menu willdrop down.  Click Specify dil'n/steps.   

(If a window appears warning of Anomalies, click Yes.  CytoGenie will give you a list of errors you need to correct before you can proceed.  Click on each error to see what you must do.)  

 

 

 

 

 

 

dilutions_window_1.pngOnce you’ve corrected the anomalies, a window will appear with your current stain set.  The cells with red borders have omissions or mistakes that need correction.

The Defined dilutions are those you or your lab or facility administrator previously entered.  You can override any of them or add new information. 

 

 

 

 

 

dilutions_window_2.pngClick the first red-bordered cell and type in the dilution you wish to use.  CytoGenie multiplies your value by the volume of the staining cocktail.   You can also enter the number of micro-liters (µl) you plan to use.  If you cannot type in the dilution, click hereWhen you’ve finished, click Done.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

stain_set_4.pngYou will return to the main Stain set page.  If you have another stain set, click the drop-down arrow, select the next set, and repeat the steps above.  When you are done with your stain sets, choose what you want to do next.
