Add a special reagent 

 

 

 

image002.gifCytoGenie allows you to add reagents it does not currently support.  Click the Downward options arrow.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

image002.gifAn Options pop-up menu will appear.  Click Add reserved color.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

image006.gifThe Fluorochrome pick list will appear.  Click any entry that is not grayed out.  Click Preview.  A preview screen will open below.  Repeat until you find a fluorochrome you want to use.  Click Pick.

image010.gifThe Determinants pick list will appear.  Click your choice.  Click Preview.  A preview screen will open below.  Repeat until you find a determinant you want to use.  Click Pick.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

image012.gifAn entry form will appear.  Enter any additional information that CytoGenie can use to process your reserved color.  You can usually get the information from the producer’s website or catalog.  When you’ve finished, click Done.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

image014.gifYou will return to your stain set, where you can add reagents or additional stain sets.  When you’re finished, you can move to other tasks.  If you are creating a protocol and fear that some of your choices may be too close on the color spectrum, click Favor specificity.  Or, you may move on to Specify dilutions/steps.
