Add sample descriptors
Click the Downward options arrow or right click anywhere in the Sample descriptor(s) grid.  Ask the Genie Online
If a red border appears in a cell under Column value, click and type your first Column name. (If you see no red border, click here.)
Then click and type a Column value.
To use the same Column name again, double-click the next row. A drop-down arrow will appear. Click it. A drop-down menu will display your previous entry. Click the entry rather than retyping it to avoid writing a Column name in more than one way.
Click and type your next Column value. A Column name may have multiple values.
To add a second Column name, click New.
The grid will reappear with a red bordered cell under Column value. Click and type a new Column name.
Click and type your next Column value.
To use the second Column name again, double-click the next row. A drop-down arrow will appear. Click it. A drop-down menu will display your previous entries. Click the entry you want rather than retyping it.
Click and type your next Column value. Repeat the process until you have entered all your descriptors.
Alternatively, you can enter your Column names and values in a separate entry form. Click the Downward options arrow.
An Options pop-up menu will appear. Click to remove the check mark from Edit in place.
On the Sample descriptor(s), click New.
An input window will appear. Click and type your entries. Then click Done. Repeat until you have entered all your descriptors.
At any point in entering your keywords, you may apply them to any of your samples. Click on a group of Samples. Click on the Sample descriptor(s) you want to apply to the group. Click the Downward options arrow.
An Options menu pops up. Click Add 2 descriptor(s) to 6 sample selection(s). Repeat the steps above until you have applied your Sample descriptor(s) to your Sample(s).
Here is the full table. You can easily add more subjects, samples and descriptors at any time by using either of the above processes.
You can also display your table as a tree. Click the Downward options arrow.
An Options menu will pop up. Click Sort/arrange columns.
The Configure table will appear. Unclick the check marks in the Sort? column and then click the column names in the sequence you want the tree to unfold. When you’re finished, click Done.
Click the Downward options arrow again.
On the Options pop-up menu, click Tree.
The tree will appear. Click on the + signs to open the branches you wish to view.
When you’ve completed your subjects, samples and keywords, choose where you want to go next.
